The goal was to seamlessly blend new custom woodwork with the original craftsmanship of this charming Victorian home and to create functional, family-friendly spaces—especially a kitchen perfect for mom-and-daughter baking sessions.
design concept
A light, airy update that complements the home’s historic charm, including soft white finishes and custom cabinetry with beautiful wood details to echo the original woodwork. The new design balances old and new, giving the home fresh energy while honoring its traditional roots.
upscaling historic restaurant into art deco speakeasy

The goal was to transform a long-standing local restaurant into an upscale dining destination with an art deco twist, honoring its history while giving it fresh appeal. A second challenge: convert a dark, underutilized basement corner into a stylish speakeasy with a moody, sultry vibe that complements the main level.
design concept
A glamorous art deco-inspired space layered with modern touches to feel fresh yet timeless. The main level highlights bold design details and a nod to the restaurant’s long history, while the speakeasy leans into deep tones, cozy textures, and a moody, hidden-lounge vibe perfect for live music and cocktails.

A warm, modern classic style. We used a consistent palette—timeless white oak paired with crisp white and bold black accents—throughout the home. Each space uses the same combination of materials and colors in different doses, giving every room its own personality and vibe while keeping the whole house cohesive.

A neutral foundation layered with rich textures and subtle patterns to add depth and interest. The overall vibe is clean and classic, with bold, thoughtful details that make the home feel elevated while staying family-friendly.
The vision was to create a “living showroom” where every corner feels intentional and inspiring. Each room has its own personality and design style, giving clients a taste of different aesthetics, but the overall space flows seamlessly from one area to the next. The kitchen was a major focal point, designed to showcase custom cabinetry, finishes, and layouts that clients could experience in person.

Additionally, it had to function as an event space for entertaining, workshops, and client gatherings.

Kitchen and Laundry Room Renovation

She only gave me a few choices to pick from. I did not want to pick paint colors from thousand of swatches. Flooring I picked from 4. I absolutely love our laundry room. At first when Katie suggested we move a wall and make it bigger I really doubted it as I felt my kitchen would be too small. I am so happy we did expand the laundry room to make it much more comfortable. My kitchen has so much storage and love how clean it looks. My kitchen and laundry room are very functional for my families busy lifestyle.
